This course emphasizing on such topics as the production of crude drugs, pretreatment, medicinal properties, uses and principles of combination in prescribing. This course sets the foundation for future studies of prescription and clinical specialties

講解中藥的起源、歷史沿革、產地、收採、炮製、性味、歸經、升降浮沉、配伍關係等理論，並根據中藥材的藥效進行分類，指其特點、主治功效及配伍應用原則，重點介紹常用單味中藥材的性味、功效及臨床應用、使用注意等基本知識。
